CEO, COO, Chief Revenue Officers and Sales Leaders: Are you stressed trying to figure out what your next steps should be in moving forward in your career and becoming a truly exceptional revenue growth leader? You’ve tried tactics from different books and the old school methods of keeping your team on track, but nothing seems to work to your satisfaction and you’re not sure what your next move should be.
If you want to excel in leadership, you don’t do it by waiting for other people to lead you.
When I’ve met exceptional exceptional C-suite leaders and sales leaders over the last three decades—who want to advance their careers, they don’t sit back and wait for it to happen, they take control.
So, what I invite you to do if you’re stuck—and not sure where your next step is—is to write your own mission statement. Because if you don’t have a clear vision for where you want your career to go, it’s going to be very difficult to get there.
Stop for a moment, put it down on paper, and say, “This is who I am, and this is where I want to go.”
AND, if you want to advance even faster, you need to do these three things really well:
You need to see your goal clearly.
You need to believe it passionately.
And you need to pursue it aggressively.
See it, believe it, pursue it.
But it starts with seeing it, and that’s where the mission statement comes in.
If that’s not defined, you don’t know what you’re pursuing, and you don’t know what you believe in.
Let's close the year strong and plan for an even stronger 2021!
Best regards,
Matt Slonaker - Founder and CEO of M. Allen
